Help My Obese Child Lose Weight

Today with the various inventions of technology and games our children are less active and always with that TV remote or busy playing games on their PC. This has led them with minimum activity and a very easy way to gain weight.

Following changes in your child’s life can help him from being obese and stay fit.

1.Set realistic goals – Make sure that you don’t overdo it by placing your child on a diet. Instead make sure that your child has some healthy food like grains and vegetables or fruits. Let him be comfortable and also yourself.
2.Eating habits – Eat slowly and set an example for your child. As most of the food is digested while chewing with the help of saliva. Also encourage child to eat when he/she is actually hungry. While eating make sure that it is on the dining table with no distractions as your child may not know how much food is consumed due to the distraction.
3.Go for a walk – Take him to parks and playgrounds where your child is involved in sports activities or anything else. This will not help him stay fit but also help him socialize and be competitive.
4.Follow up with a doctor – Regular visits to a doctor to get him diagnosed for any problems that lead to weight gain.
5.Try other techniques – Encourage your child to have more water then those sugary beverages and reward him accordingly. Do not reward with food items but instead get him/her a toy or some other useful activity.
6.Give complete support – Be the change to see the change. A child looks upon their parents and imitate them so if you eat healthy so will your child and will remain fit.

There is no quick and easy way to help your child lose weight. It requires long term modification in your diet and lifestyle that can help your child achieve the impossible. So go ahead and help him lose that extra fat.

Lose Belly Fat Exercises

Are you trying to lose some belly fat and want some exercises that actually work? Have you tried sit ups and crunches with no success? How many miles have you run so far and you just can’t get rid of that stubborn belly fat? Well, I’m going to tell you a secret that may surprise you.

But, let’s take a look at the situation first. A single pound of fat take 3,500 calories to burn. To put that into perspective, the average person only burns 2,000 calories in a day. So it takes a lot of effort to lose just a single pound of fat.

Now, let me tell you a secret. The reason that typical ab exercises don’t work to lose belly fat is because you can’t spot reduce fat. All those sit ups are building great ab muscles but they don’t generate enough calories to reduce your overall body fat percentage. Remember, it takes 3,500 calories to lose a single pound of fat.

So, how are we going to lose that belly fat? By lifting weights. Yes, lifting weights. You see muscle ways more that fat so the more muscle your body has the harder it has to work and the more calories it burns and, yes, the more fat you lose.

But, the types of exercises you will be doing are important because we want to increase your resting metabolism rate so that you are burning calories even after you are working out. To do this we need to throw your body into a metabolic shock by choosing exercises that really cause you to exert yourself such as clean and jerks, dumb bell snatches. Dead lifts and others.
