Obesity – Are There Any Foods That Are Bad For You?
Trying to cope with food choices can be difficult. If you believe that certain foods are bad for you, yet you enjoy them, the decisions weigh heavily on your mind.
Obesity – Are Their Any Foods That Are Bad For You?
The answer is No.
All foods that are processed, organic, natural, healthy, in a can, box or just off the grocery shelf are good to eat. They have all been approved by all level of Government or they would not be available for human consumption.
I am a consumer just like you and we need to have faith that the foods available are not going to hurt or kill us. If we do not have that faith, how can we make choices and be able to put something in our mouths in confidence?
You are wondering why I am asking that question and you are right, I am not an advocate for any particular food, name brand or anything like that. I am just a concerned citizen in search of Perfect Health and I want to make the best informed decisions based on my limited knowledge of the food industry.
Here is where it gets complicated: No there are not any foods that are bad for me yet their are foods that are not good for me.
Let me explain: any food that has little or no nutritional value is not a good source of energy for my body. If my body cannot find what it is looking for in the food choices I make it will strive to help me make better choices. Do you get it?
Eating so called Junk Foods is not bad but it is not good at the same time. Now do you get it?
Your body is a unique “machine” that is “built” to survive. If it does not find the energy it needs from the fresh fruit food you supply, it will search inside your body and will replenish itself from your bones or whatever it can find just to survive. I know this is simplistic, but I want to make you understand that your Passion for certain food choices can be singularly responsible for your bodies self-destruction from the inside out.
Your body needs a balanced diet of vitamins and minerals to give you maximum output. If it does not get all the vitamins and minerals it requires it starts to breakdown and then and only then does it need to go “to the shop” for repairs. Give it the right combination of nutrients, in the right quantities and it will heal itself and give you much more mileage. Their, I have explained it how I understand it.
You and you alone are responsible to maintain your body. Others can help but ultimately you are the only person that really understands and feels the needs of your own body.

Weight Loss – How to Avoid Gaining Weight If You Sit at a Desk All Day
Most clerical jobs include periods when you have completed all your tasks and have nothing to do. On the other hand, your assigned functions may require that you sit all day. The most common problems stem from eating and lack of exercise.
Dining at Restaurants
Many people who work have lunch at fast food restaurants every day. This is very bad for maintaining good weight since cost effective lunches often include saturated fat and food additives.
A good alternative is to bring your lunch every day. Food prepared at home is much healthier and can include leftovers from the previous night or a sandwich on whole grain bread
Eating When Bored
Most people resort to snacks when they are bored. Many of my friends actually stock their drawers for just such situations. So, what can you do?
1. Bring your own favorites and avoid the vending machines but make sure they are healthy choices
2. Always keep water in your desk. When you feel hungry, just take a sip. This will prevent constant snacking.
3. Keep hard sugarless candy or gum available. When you get bored, use these as an alternative to snacking. Both gum and hard candy kill hunger pangs.
4. Gracefully refuse snacks offered by co-workers. While they have good intentions, you can do without the extra calories.
5. Drink hot or cold green tea which is loaded with antioxidants and serve to reduce hunger between meals.
Good Alternatives
1. Raw fruits and vegetables which add fiber to your diet and keep you full.
2. Celery – Celery may take getting used to but it is one of the best fat burning foods.
3. Small handful of raw almonds, walnuts, pistachios or purchase trail mix.
4. Protein drinks – Rich in fiber and help to maintain muscles which burn calories better than fat.
5. Protein bars – Make sure to read the nutrition label so that you can eliminate those with high sugar content and choose ones that are high in fiber.
Exercise During Down Time
1.During breaks, take a walk around the block. You may even make it around more than once. This will help you to burn extra calories.
2. During lunchtime, eat a small meal then use the time you have left to take a long walk. Most jobs allow one hour for lunch. If so, you can take thirty minutes to eat your lunch and thirty minutes to walk. Go as far as you can and turn back toward the job when you have around fifteen minutes left.
